Rainscreen cladding is a form of double-layer wall systems. The exterior layer helps keep the rain and storm out. The inner layer provide thermal insulation and prevent excessive air leak and wind loading. The exterior surface allows the sheathing and structure breath while the inner layer reduces energy losses. These cladding products can be made up of a range of materials including wood, metal, brick, vinyl, and composite materials that can include aluminum, wood, cement and recycled polystyrene.
